The outside of the coop. It's built into a stall of my father-in-law's barn. The bottom half of the entrance is guarded by a goat-gate I designed to keep out unwanted visitors.
The stall has lots of nooks and crannies to keep things up high - out of mess range of the chooks and almost out of reach of the goats. The calendar in the photo has three months with a goat bite taken out of the corner.
These nest boxes are made from old orange boxes that are probably antiques - they were used by my wife's grandfather as nestboxes when he had chickens many years ago. I hung them on the coop wall and added the burlap strips. I have since temporarily removed the burlap because the Reds don't seem to know the nest box is there.
A floor box made from a plastic container from Wal-Mart, originally for Mildred the huge Ross hen. Note the fluroescent green plastic easter egg inside to hopefully give the clucks some idea as to what the box is for. The Reds seem to play chicken soccer with it.
